Why did you chose the name La Isla Crafts?

La Isla Crafts is named after my mom's boutique in Saipan. She opened it in 1990 and named it after the island we called home, Saipan (she's also a Madonna fan). She sold a variety of goods, as well as clothing, purses, and jewelry that she made herself. She later sold La Isla Boutique in 1998 so that I can go to school in the states.
